The Bagshot Concert Band is a community band based in the Surrey town of Bagshot. The Director of Music, Roger Sanders, a retired music teacher, joined the Band in August 2001. The Band was established in 1898 and apart from the war years it has provided a place where young and old alike can come to improve their musical skills by playing in a group. As well as providing a meeting place where musicians can gather to enjoy making music the Band takes its music into the community to provide pleasure to those listening. The Band supports a number of local charities.
The Band is about 35 members strong and welcomes new players of all ages and standards. The Band's repertoire varies from serious to light and popular music. Rehearsals are held every Friday from 20.00 to 22.00 at the Bagshot Methodist Church Hall, Jenkins Hill, Bagshot, Surrey. If you would like to join or book the Band then you can contact the committee members listed below or just turn up on a Friday Evening.
David Worsfold is currently holding a training band rehearsal from 6.50 pm to 7.45 pm at the above venue. Open to everyone. As it is a new venture all instruments welcome.
